Project and Submission Requirements

Each team must submit the following:

1. Pitch Deck

A polished presentation summarizing:

  • Problem space and narrowed challenge statement

  • User research insights, personas, and validated pain points

  • MVP definition and prioritized features

  • Solution overview and product impact

  • Final prototype walkthrough

2. Product Requirements Document (PRD)

A structured document including:

  • Background + problem definition

  • User personas & research findings

  • Jobs-to-be-done / pain points

  • Feature list + prioritization

  • MVP scope

  • Success metrics

  • User flows

  • Constraints, risks, and assumptions

  • Future improvements

3. Figma Prototype

A mid- to high-fidelity prototype demonstrating the core product experience.
Should clearly show:

  • The key flows that solve the validated problem

  • MVP-level interactions

  • Visual clarity, usability, and product logic

4. Presentation Video (5 Minutes)

A recording of the team’s live pitch from Demo Day, covering:

  • Problem → insight → solution narrative

  • Prototype demo

  • Impact and reasoning

  • Team collaboration and reflection

5. Devpost Write-Up

Short project descriptions, including:

  • What the product does

  • How it was built (process summary)

  • Challenges encountered

  • Lessons learned

  • Next steps

Prizes

1st Place Team:

  • $15 gift card per team member

  • Recognition during Demo Day awards ceremony

  • Highlighted Devpost listing + finalist spotlight

  • Priority consideration for next semester’s industry partnerships (optional)

Judging Criteria and Winner Selection

One overall winner is selected based on a 100-point rubric.
Judges evaluate clarity, research depth, solution quality, execution, and presentation strength.

Pitch Quality — 40 Points

Evaluated on:

  • Clear problem framing and storytelling

  • Strength of research insights

  • Logic of solution and MVP justification

  • Impact narrative and alignment with the company prompt

  • Structure, flow, and clarity of information

Prototype Quality — 50 Points

Evaluated on:

  • Visual design quality and consistency

  • Usability and clarity of user flows

  • How well the prototype solves the validated pain points

  • Depth of core interactions (matching MVP scope)

  • Accuracy in mapping PRD requirements to the prototype

  • Originality and feasibility of solution

Presentation Mechanics — 10 Points

Evaluated on:

  • Team preparation and delivery

  • Time management (5 min max)

  • Engaging demo walkthrough

  • Confidence, clarity, and professionalism
